Record prices for Chinese Antiques in Ireland

Chinese antiques command high prices.

A Chinese blue and white porcelain circular dragon dish sold at auction in Ireland for €310,000.00 Euros plus fees. The dish with six character mark of Xuande (1426-1435) measuring 25cms in diameter was estimated at €2000 - 3000 Euros but exceeded all expectations when purchased by a London dealer. The sale by Adams also achieved higher than expected figures for three small Chinese jade figures all estimated at approx €1,000 Euros but all sold for between €6,000 to €35,000 plus fees. The market for Oriental antiques appears to be strong!
